.. :: CSKMS School Emblem :: ..
The school emblem represents the core beliefs and values of the School which serve as
the guiding principles for our students in their pursuit of academic excellence and career advancement.
It is therefore important for them to understand the meaning of the emblem.

The two triangles, one bigger and darker-coloured than the other, are two mountains symbolising that knowledge knows no bounds and that for every able person, there is always someone abler still.
This is to encourage students to strive for improvement, and be modest and gentle.
The two triangles are also likened to two pyramids. The pointed top and the sturdy base of a pyramid are symbols of in-depth specialised knowledge built on a solid foundation of broad extensive knowledge. This is the attitude which students should adopt in conducting themselves in life.

Plum blossoms flower in the freezing cold winter. The colder the weather, the more brightly they bloom. This represents the unswerving and unrelenting spirit of Chinese people. Students should learn to be brave to stand up to difficulties and persevere until they succeed.
The five petals match the five domains of education stated in the school motto, namely moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetics. This denotes that the School attaches great importance to students’ holistic and all round development.

The arrow in the middle of the plum blossom means that while one has to be as persevering as plum blossoms and as steady as mountains, it is also important to be well prepared at all times, like an arrow on a bowstring ready to be released. The upward-pointing arrow represents harmony and peace between individuals and between nations. In school, an atmosphere conducive to learning should be created for students and teachers to get along with one another in the pursuit of knowledge. |

The three colours blue, white and red symbolise altruism, liberty and equality, which are the qualities of an ideal society. They also represent justice, openness and passion, which are the qualities and attitudes that students should have as individuals.
With the beliefs and values of the School as the guiding principles, students should be prepared to serve and contribute to the community upon graduation, and strive to live life to the fullest. |
